Hiring and data services
This page is for the people who need forward-deployed engineering data rather than a forward-deployed engineering job: HR and talent teams, recruiters, research firms, and platforms that have to treat this role as one thing instead of seven.
We are not a job board and we are not selling traffic. What we sell is the processing layer that nobody else puts on this role — seven title variants normalised into one comparable dataset, employer-published pay ranges kept with their source, and the whole set refreshed daily from employer ATS feeds (with public remote job boards counted separately, never folded in). The free public version of the numbers is at Market data; what you buy on this page is the detail, the extract, or the feed.
Snapshot 2026-10-16. These four numbers are recomputed on every build, so they are the count on the day you read this — not a marketing figure carried over from an old deck. Sample sizes and the method sit on the market data page, and every range traces back to the posting it came from.
What is in the set
- The normalisation layer. Forward Deployed Engineer, Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, Deployment Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect and the field-facing variants are merged into one role family, with the level word kept as a separate field instead of being baked into the title.
- Pay, with its source. Only ranges the employer published in the posting itself. Nothing is estimated, benchmarked, or filled in from a comparable role — if the posting is silent, the record is silent, and you can see exactly how often that happens.
- Place and pattern. Country, city and office pattern as the employer wrote them, including the cases where a posting names several countries at once.
- Skills, as written. The tools and skills named in the posting text, normalised against a fixed whitelist so "finetuning" and "fine-tuning" are one entry — not a survey, just what employers typed.
- Lifecycle. Roles enter when the title or description matches the role family and leave within ten days of disappearing from the source, so the set is a live picture rather than an archive.
What we do not do
- We do not run a resume database, an application flow, or a sourcing service. That is a different business with a different compliance surface, and it is not what we are good at.
- We do not sell banner inventory or interstitials on the job pages.
- We do not quote an audience size we cannot show you. If a number is not in the block above, we do not have it to publish.

D6 · Precision exposure to this audience
Not for sale yet
This opens once the subscriber list passes 300, and we publish the threshold instead of a rate because an ad slot is only worth anything to you if the list is real — and it is not there yet. We would rather tell you that than quote a number we cannot show.
- One role, sent to the people who signed up for this role specifically — not to a rotating general-audience network
- You see the list size before you commit; we do not sell you an audience you cannot count
- No banner inventory, no interstitial, no pop-up — the send is the placement
- Built for: Employers hiring specifically for this role.
How ordering works
Ordering is self-serve: pick a SKU and check out. No call, no quote, no email thread. If a checkout link is not live yet, join the list at the bottom of this page and we will send the link the day it opens.
None of the items above can be checked out yet. That is not a soft launch — the payment channel itself is still being opened, and we would rather show you "opening soon" than a button that does nothing. The list at the bottom of this page is how you get the link the day it goes live.
Scope questions (a different cut of the data, a private refresh, a one-off extract) go to [email protected].
Why we are worth quoting
Two reasons, and neither of them is our circulation. First, the underlying set is collected from employers' own systems rather than resold from an aggregator, so it is a primary source. Second, the normalisation is the part that is genuinely hard to reproduce: it is easy to scrape postings, and it is not easy to decide that seven differently-worded titles are one comparable role, then keep that decision stable as the market invents new wording for it. If your own team has tried to build a comparable FDE band from raw postings, you already know which half of that work is expensive.
