The People Team at Asana works to enable all Asanas to achieve our goals as a company in a way that is consistent with our values. We focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that everyone can thrive, grow, and make a meaningful impact. Sitting on the People Systems team, you will design, build, and optimize our core HR and People technology ecosystem—primarily focused on Workday—enabling smooth data flow, system reliability, and automation across our global HR tools. In this role, you will partner closely with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, drive technical integration projects end-to-end, and shape how our HR systems scale alongside Asana's growth. This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you’ll achieve - Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Document Transformation, and Web Services APIs. - Drive technical project management for People Systems integration initiatives, including requirements gathering, effort estimation, timeline planning, and tracking project tasks through to launch. - Maintain and optimize our existing catalog of inbound and outbound Workday integrations to maximize system efficiency, scalability, and data integrity across the People ecosystem. - Monitor and troubleshoot complex integration issues in a timely manner, upholding strict data privacy and system reliability across HR applications. - Partner cross-functionally across the People Team, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align technical integration strategy with company objectives. - Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including process flows, integration specifications, and standard operating procedures for ongoing system support. - Proactively identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities in our integration architecture, contributing to the People Systems technical roadmap - Stay current with new Workday releases, feature updates, and People Systems architecture best practices to continuously improve our integration infrastructure. About you - Demonstrates curiosity…
