Excerpt from the original posting
Who We Are SWTCH is pioneering EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties across North America. Since 2016, our team of entrepreneurs, energy professionals, and technologists has been focused on unlocking the social, economic, and environmental benefits of widespread EV adoption. Today, our solutions are deployed in tens of thousands of locations —many of which are low-to-moderate income housing—helping to make clean mobility accessible for all. With an expanding footprint across Canada and the U.S., we’re scaling quickly and looking for mission-driven talent to help accelerate our growth. Job Opportunity SWTCH is hiring a Solutions Engineer to be the technical partner to our national sales team. You’ll lead the technical side of pre-sales conversations, shape winning responses to RFPs for large, strategic EV charging projects, and help design sites once a project is won. This role goes beyond sales. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering on hardware testing, product development and partner training. If you enjoy turning complex charging infrastructure needs into clear solutions that customers, partners and internal teams can act on, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Pre-Sales and RFPs - Serve as the lead technical resource for the national sales team, guiding pre-sales conversations from a technical perspective. - Run technical discovery with prospects to understand site conditions, electrical capacity, charging needs and business goals. - Design and recommend EV charging solutions covering hardware, software, load management and network setup. - Support RFPs for large strategic projects by writing technical responses, compliance matrices and solution designs, and providing pricing inputs. - Configure and design sites after an RFP is awarded, when needed. - Partner with the pre-sales team to spot technology gaps in specific markets and develop solutions to close them. - Track competitor products and coach the sales team on how to position SWTCH. Product, Engineering and Hardware - Work with Product and Engineering to identify system bugs, define product requirements and develop solutions. - Build implementation plans for other SWTCH teams to carry out. - Manage communication with hardware vendors when testing equipment for existing and new products. - Run hardware testing in the lab, when needed. - Help develop new SWTCH products. Training and Enablement - Train industry partners on SWTCH processes a…
