Excerpt from the original posting
Our software only matters when it ships on a real project. Your job is to make sure it does. As a forward-deployed engineer, you'll work side by side with our customers (developers, hyperscalers, EPCs and their engineering teams) and turn their projects into working Aran deployments. You'll learn how each customer designs, permits and builds, configure our engines to their standards, and get engineering deliverables out the door on their schedule. When something doesn't fit, you fix it: write the code, adjust the model, or bring back exactly what the platform needs next. You're the shortest path between a customer's problem and our product. Expect regular travel to customer offices and job sites. What you’ll achieve - Own Aran's deployment on customer projects, from kickoff to a delivered engineering package. - Configure and extend our parametric engines and AI agents to fit each customer's standards, templates and workflows. - Build the integrations, scripts and tools that connect Aran to customers' CAD/BIM, document and project-management systems. - Work on site with customer engineers and construction teams to unblock issues fast and earn their trust. - Turn what you learn in the field into product: clear requirements, reusable features and fixes the team ships. - Help shape how Aran scales from a few flagship projects to many. You must - Be a strong engineer who has shipped stuff that real users depended on. - Be highly proficient with AI coding agents and use them to move fast in unfamiliar codebases and domains. - Communicate clearly with engineers, project managers and executives, in writing and in person. - Stay calm and resourceful when a customer deadline is at risk, and own the outcome. - Learn new technical domains quickly: power, cooling, structures, permitting and construction. - Be willing to travel frequently to customer offices and job sites. - Must be a systems thinker and have a PE You do not need to - Have a degree in engineering or computer science. - Have worked in data centers, construction or AEC. - Have held a "forward-deployed" or customer-facing title before. Experience as a forward-deployed, solutions or field engineer, or delivering technical projects for demanding customers, is particularly interesting.
